This is a film about a foundation that funds educational projects. It was a very busy day grabbing as many shots as possible, including interviews.
I try to start off these kinds of projects by making a bullet list of key points the client wants/needs to get across in the final video. And then, at the shoot, stay open to interesting stories that I hear that might make their way into the film to bring it extra personality without getting too sidetracked. For example, the “Building Blocks” that start the video weren’t even on the schedule – they were something I saw once I got to location.
