A TV Spot shot and played during the Tony Awards. The shoot was in Times square and this is a great example of working with ‘real people’. We had to get them hyped up and give us big, happy responses – while still feeling fresh and natural.
Luckily I was able to cast Jason Kravitz as the host (You’ve seen him on everything including The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, Masters of Sex and much-much-much more). I just had to make sure he kept to a very fast pace in his line reads so we covered everything within a :60!
Besides his specific sales line, all else is unscripted and you need to think on your feet while shooting to get possible, usable things out of people. The ending Phantom section just came up and we worked it more to get more humor out of it.
